In newborns and toddlers spinal subluxations (fixations) caused by loading infants in and out of carriers or falls and crashes while learning to walk can often be helped with chiropractic care. Even the birth process itself can be a source of spinal problems resulting in many of the newborn health complaints that can be frustrating to parents. Colic, inconsolable crying, poor appetite, and even skin rashes can often be helped with Chiropractic when caused by interference in the nervous system.
As kids get older, there can be a whole new set of problems that threaten to interfere with a child’s school work and social life. These problems can come from activities such as sports and repetitive motions like band or piano lessons. Parents are often at a loss of what to for a child who suffers from ADHD, allergies, asthma, ear infections, or most any other symptom or condition with or without a name tied to it. Kids with neck or back pain along with any of the other symptoms or conditions that have been dicussed should have a chiropractic check-up to evaluate their spine, posture, and nervous system.
Many of the conditions seen in adulthood begin in childhood. By correcting spinal misalignments called subluxations these problems could be caught early and hopefully avoided altogether.
I adjust my own children as early as day one and have had success with them as infants and toddlers with conditions including seizures, constipation, diaper rashes, bedwetting and just plain old grumpiness. We all want to give our children every opportunity to succeed in all that they do. Let's put the same energy into thier spines that we put into thier teeth, tonsils, complexion, and activities. Better spines make better kids!
