Why Is Chiropractic Important For My Kids

I spent last Saturday watching 10 yr. olds play football in the 111 degree heat.  I felt the sun beating down on my hairless head boiling my brain juices.  Do I subject myself to this because I love the heat?  No, it’s because I love my kids.  In support of my son and his game I haul portable awnings, chairs, water and babies down to the field to watch.

We all do things for our kids because we want what’s best for them.  We do things like buy homes in school districts that we believe will give them an edge later in life.  We put off vacations, motorcycles, and new cars so that we can put money away for their college education.  We buy plastic yellow signs to put in the street so that cars will drive slowly when they are outside playing with neighbors.  I even tend to find things to do in the yard and garage so I can keep an eye on them, and make sure they are safe when they’re outside.

Of all the things I do for my kids to keep them safe and make them successful, the one that I am most proud to be able to do is give them a chiropractic adjustment.  My kids are all different.  Noah, my 10 year-old will usually catch me just as I’m sitting down at the end of the day and say,  “Dad, my back hurts, will you give me an adjustment?”  My 13 year-old daughter, Hannah, on the other hand will usually creep ever so quietly into our room at night trying so hard to be quiet until she wakes me out of a deep sleep to say, “Dad, my neck hurts and I can’t sleep, I need an adjustment!”  Finally, 10-month-old Reagan (we call her Poopie) gets adjustments every couple of weeks whether she asks or not.

To understand why I adjust my kids, it’s best to understand what the adjustment does in the body.  The brain controls everything in our bodies;  how we move, how our organs work, how we digest food, how we get rid of waste, how we fight illness and disease through the appropriate use of fever and body temperature.  It even controls how fast we grow, how our eyes work, how we talk, how we sleep, and even how we think when we’re taking a test.  The only way for the brain to communicate with the body for all of these things is along the “Super Highway” of nerves that travel down the spine and out to the bodies organs, muscles and systems.

That’s it.  It’s as simple as that.  We adjust the spine to make sure that there is no interference with the brain’s communication to the body and the body functions better.  Kids sleep better, eat better, fewer notes come home from teachers because they can control themselves better in class.  I notice a difference in my kids when they are getting regular adjustments and you will too.

I adjust my family because I love them and I want what’s best for them.   Bring your kids in for a free evaluation.  Let my staff and I take a look at them and discuss with you any concerns that arise.  We all want healthy, happy kids.

Thank you,
